Floral Mural in Brooklyn Restaurant

Client:Pasta Louise

Pasta Louise is a restaurant based in Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York. I worked alongside their team to create a mural that would showcase their Pasta Rose scholarship program. They provide financial backing for Brooklyn students who have lost a parent to cancer.

The brief was to showcase the program and raise awareness. In terms of the logistics, it’s a very busy restaurant and the wall often has strollers scraping against the wall, so the design was just to cover the top half of the wall. It was also centred around the past winners themselves, and designed to include images of them in a way that fit seamlessly with the design, instead of feeling like an add-on. Plus we needed to ensure there was space to add more future winners!

“Martha just completed a beautiful mural to commemorate the fifth year of our Pasta Rose Scholarship Fund here at Pasta Louise Restaurant in Park Slope. She is an absolute dream to work with, making time around our busy restaurant schedule to work when it was most convenient for us. Her work is stunningly gorgeous and she worked with us to make 100% sure she absolutely nailed the aesthetic. I recommend Martha without reservation.”
