Botanical planters hand-painted for 5th ave, Park Slope

Commissioned by the Park Slope Fifth Avenue BID, I transformed 16 planters into colorful pieces of public art, bringing original, hand-painted designs to the neighbourhood’s streets. Working with assistants, I coordinated a substantial process of sanding, cleaning, priming, painting and sealing across all 16 large plant pots, and hand-painted them on the street. The reaction from the public was the highlight, with people stopping to chat and following our progress. The project also received extensive press coverage, celebrating the role of public art in making our local streets feel more welcoming and cared for.
