Hand-Painted Floral Cafe Mural in Brooklyn
Client:Volare
The Brief
This Park Slope café brought me on as a mural artist to add color and joy to their large black feature wall. The owner envisioned ‘fluffy’ flowers, and I worked closely with them to create a hand-painted flower mural that felt modern, dynamic, and full of life.
Since the business is Italian, we looked to Renaissance art for inspiration—drawn to its rich contrasts, highlights and pops of red. Taking this one step further and designing the flowers to look as though they are lit by the cafe’s own window.
